Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Tsunami had become one of our favorite restaurants in South Jordan. The restaurant is very well kept, clean, organized and the staff has consistently been friendly and service oriented. We typically order the following sushi rolls. PD, Something Tropical, and Alaska roll tend to be the constant favorite. The PD and Something Tropical offer mango within the roll, it's very flavorful and delicious. We recently tried the Jenny roll which is a California roll topped with Salmon and thin sliced lemon. As a lemon lover, this was to die for. The rolls are priced well compared to the freshness of the sushi. Our favorite waiter is Gustavo. We appreciate how knowledgeable he is with the menu. If we're feeling adventurous, we ask him to pick out a roll for us. Thus far, his recommendations have become regulars. We enjoy visiting while he's working and look forward to our bi-weekly visits with him. During your visit, everyone is pretty attentive. The service is quick, your drinks are refilled before you ask. A manager walks around the restaurant and visits with each table ensuring you're enjoying your visit. The 3 times we visited, we were fortunate to be greeted by Sean. I sure hope I remembered his name correctly. He's very genuine and has a warning touch. The environment makes you want to return week after week. My husband and I are sure to continue to return. Tsunami is my sushi go-to. Delicious food, incredible service. Their Sunshine roll is to die for, but since becoming a vegetarian I have transitioned to their veggie rolls which are just as delicious. My favorite veggie rolls are the Buddha, Honey Badger and the 720. The service is wonderful. Servers are professional, attentive and pay the smallest attention to detail. I've never been disappointed. Always a pleasure.

Great food as always! Everything this restaurant does shows care in the procurement and preparation of high quality ingredients! The restaurant has really pivoted to accommodate dine-in guests in the middle of this pandemic when new cases of COVID-19 are skyrocketing here in Salt Lake County! The menu is off a QR code at every table. Capacity is limited in the restaurant per health officials' orders. The payment process is 100% via your phone using a QR code on the check. You pay for your meal and gratuity this way and no staff in the restaurant have to handle any cash or your credit card! It's very efficient and as safe as can be done in this very challenging and difficult time for restaurants and their patrons. Tsunami has probably the best and safest operations I've seen anywhere for handling and managing dine-in guests. DO NOT try to go there for a meal without calling ahead first for a reservation! You will NOT be allowed in the restaurant as a walk-in guest at this point in time! I learned that lesson the hard way.

I wasn't able to eat there do to a grown woman throwing a fit and cussing my husband and me in front of child after running into my child. However, the hostess came out, offered us a table far away from this person. We politely declined and she was delt with accordingly. So thank you so much and hopefully we can come back without the crazed woman. I'm giving five stars for service alone.
