If you want a nice house and a good landlord, rent from Tom! He was the best landlord I have had in all my rental experiences and his property that I lived in was exceptional. He was very timely in all maintenance requests, even down to small things such as changing a light bulb that burnt out or checking out a toilet that was making funny sounds. Tom truely cares about his properties, and that shows in how nice each of them are and the amount of time that is put in to maintaining them properly. Along with this, he really cares about the experience and safety of his tenants. Other landlords...be more like Tom!

I am going into my 5th year/lease cycle with Best House on Campus. (5 bed, 4 bath in the Como area of Mpls) I have stayed here so long because it is affordable, great location, updated and clean. But the real reason I've stayed is because of the landlord! I am aware that's not the normal response to landlords, but Tom is incredibly responsive, has always come over or sent handyman Keith for any issues, both immediate or not. Anything from a water heater being out (someone was over within 24 hours), a broken drawer, or any other issue, the response is timely and the issue always fixed quickly. If there is a large snowfall, he will come over and do a quick plow of the driveway just to help us out. I once asked for an improvement in the kitchen and he sent someone out within the week to caulk between the baseboard and the tile, because I had told him there were food crumbs and dirt that would get trapped there. Whether it is maintenence (emergency or normal) or improvements to the house, these guys are always on top of it, and we always appreciate it! I know some people have the opposite experience with their landlord, so I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Tom, his son Grant, and Keith look out for us all these years. Thank you!

I have only good things to say about the owners of this rental company. Grant and Tom know how to manage many houses very well. Their priority is making a safe and comfortable home for all their tenants. Their houses are newly renovated and beautiful with affordable prices! Very few maintenance requests were needed, but when they were, they were easy to contact and repairs were made within 24 hours, often within hours. They went out of their way to plow our back lot (something they did not need to do). One day Tom contacted us that he noticed our outside light was out. He not only came the next morning to replace it so ensure our safety, but he followed up asking if there were any other repairs needed. I felt safe and comfortable and wish I could have rented from them longer! University students, THIS is the kind of landlord you should be looking for!

Tom and everyone else were quick to fix any problems we had with the house. They do a great job of managing their houses. If you want a responsive, fair management them Best House on Campus is a great option around the U.
