I want to start off by saying that the teachers here really care about their students and the quality of the materials that they teach.nnThe real problem here is the administration and their unfair treatment towards the students. They will try to get you in trouble for everything, especially since they know that most of the parents of HHS students are not active in the community and many don't even know or understand what is going on in this school (especially Arab and Bengali). They think that the parents and students are all uneducated or just dumb and treat them that way, not knowing (or caring) that there are people from places of the world that they would dream of visiting, people who have reached such high levels of education that only a few may reach. Many of our parents are not involved, they send their kids to school only for their kids to be picked on and for the adults to not do anything about it until the kids defend themselves. Then and only then will it become a problem and will this issue be brought up in the office. I have seen students get away with things and get into classes that they didn't earn just by bringing their parents in while the rest of the students don't get any special treatment whatsoever. The cafeteria is dirty and pest infested, and some of the lunch ladies are very harsh and rude.nnHAMTRAMCK PARENTS: Please make sure to always talk to your kids and to know what is going on. Many of the kids who go here get picked on and they don't say or do anything about it. Go to the school, visit the classrooms, meet the counselors and administration. If you become more interested and involved and make the time for the place that your children stay at for 40 hours a week, 8 hours daily, the system around here may change for the better. Your involvement is what is going to make a difference.nnand HHS STUDENTS: Always do well. Have a voice, and if you feel like you are being treated unfairly or badly, please make a complaint and GET YOUR PARENTS INVOLVED! There is nothing wrong with telling your parents and getting them to visit the school and talk about these issues.

Best high school ever and there are lots of diverse people. Enjoyable place !
