Such a great outing. Really love being able to sweat in the wet and dry heat as well as cool off in the very cold pool. I know my body feels so amazing right now even compared to when I got there.
This is my favorite place to invest back into my own self care and each visit refreshes my mind, body, and soul. The staff are amazing. I went weekly before covid and have been going 2x monthly since they re-opened for private rentals.
Owner did an Amazing job keeping the original look from when I was a kid and updating so much. He made it a better place and environment and has succeeded beautifully. If you are looking for the Best steam and relaxation you ever had in your life go here. I miss it so much I had to book a party. Its $300 minimum thats 50$/person x 6. Can't wait to go and can't wait till they open back up for full business. They offer a lot as well. They have local venues come in such as food, facials, massage,tarot, reflexology, and so much more. I would definitely recommend and try. You will never regret it. Just make sure you are hydrated before you go; the heat is no joke. So Amazing!!
Went for a private party. Highly recommend. Dry sauna, steam sauna, platzke & a pool plus a very relaxing clubhouse style environment.
This place was an absolute gem and unqualified 5 star experience. After seeing a story about the Schvitz in Detroit on TV here in NYC- I contacted Bradley about renting it out for my 19 year old son, brother in law and his two teenage sons. I first went to the schvitz on 10th Street in New York City 40 years ago with my Uncle and always remembered the comraderies, eccentric characters and fellowship that occurred. . Well this exceeded ALL of our expectations. Starting with Carmelo who welcomed us with a great history of Detroit and the schvitz ( ask about the monkey mascot!) This is the perfect place to relax. Clean yet unpretentious, relaxed and beautifully restored with the feeling that you have been coming here for generations. I have been to banya's all over the US and this quickly became my favorite. We will be turning this into a yearly family ritual. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your obvious loving restoration of a fantastic family tradition.
