Black Stone Bookstore is an African American owned businesses on Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti. It's got a large inventory in a relatively small, pleasant space and the owner is very helpful. Ordering books on line from Black Stone is easy, too. Authors carried in the store are diverse, both current and classic writers. There's also a good children's section.Let's support this local independent bookstore!
I love this bookstore. Nice people, good selection. The oils are great. Best bookstore in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area.
I pre-ordered a book that was coming out on Feb 2, online ordering process was easy, then I received an email on Feb 5 letting me know it was there and ready to be picked up. Easy and quick, thanks Black Stone!
One of the employees gave me some excellent book recommendations. They have an EXCELLENT children's book selection. Definitely check this place out.
The shop continues to add new features, updates, and inventory and Carlos does great work to meet the needs of his customers. It is wonderful to have a small bookstore in our town that is friendly and run with care. It's my go-to spot for local book shopping and orders. Give Black Stone a try!
