We love assured hospice nurses and team members. They are kind, caring and full of love and compassion. It takes special people to do this important work. Thank you all for all you do for us our residents and their families. You truly are angels!

My grandmother was in and out of the hospital for years- a fall here and a fall there and every time she went back to Assured Care to rehabilitate her. She loved her therapist and she loved her nurse. She would recover quickly and unfortunately, something else would happen that would cause her to need a nurse or therapist back, but each time she insisted on using Assured Care. When you are in pain, if there is anything that can make you feel better or anyone you can rely on, you hold that so dear and for us that was Assured Care.

If I could I would also give a 0. So many reasons. He always had blood with every catheter change. He had infection after infection. I called and asked them to check for bed sores. They said he was fine but he wasn't...he had bed sores. Then, I received a call from his nurse asking where he was. He was in the hospital and Assured had been notified. She then told me she had been 2 days earlier and he didn't answer the door...so she left. He's homebound. She didn't call to ask. She just left. He could have been laying on the floor dying and no one would have known. When we decided to change companies, they were rude to the new company and hung up without giving needed information. I could go on but you get the idea.

On Aug 3, 2017 my father had a scheduled catheter change performed by Marie, a nurse from Assured Care Home Health Services, Inc. at his assisted care living facility. This is a fairly common procedure performed every 30 days. During my afternoon visit I noticed blood in his urine bag. Apparently his nurse at the facility also noticed this and called Marie from Assured Care. This call for help and or advice was never returned by Assured Care. After the shift change, I believe the 2nd nurse from the assisted living facility called once, maybe twice. Once again no return call. The following day his aid noticed blood coming from his penis and covering his diaper. He was later transferred to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. The doctors in ER / Observation felt his catheter was put in improperly and expanded in his prostate. A bladder infection ensued which entered his bloodstream, Sepsis. He died 9 days after the insertion.nnNow, do you want the staff from Assured ignoring the calls for help from your loved one?
