The staff members and faculty are phenomenal! They will help you in any way that they possibly can (including but not limited to free tutoring, help with financial aid and accommodations for classes). The members of the Orchard Ridge campus will do their best to ensure that you have a pleasant and educational experience at Oakland Community College Orchard Ridge! I highly recommend.

I started college, not knowing what the steps were, no one was helpful. they all act like you’re supposed to know exactly what you’re doing (without ever having done it) i’ve also had a bunch of issues on their part in regards to financial aid.. every time i call, my questions aren’t answered, i’m transferred from person to person. i’ll definitely be switching to a different campus

By far the orchard ridge campus has been the best out of all of the other campuses. They are not rude and actually want to help the students. I wish I was at this campus when I first attended occ. I am near the end of this corrupt journey at occ and I am more than happy that it is almost over. Believe the reviews occ mainly care about money and it shows especially within the science department. From my own experience with financial aid it was just a mess at Southfield campus and the lady at the time was just rude and didn’t care. Yet the students who were at the window barely knew anything and gave out inaccurate information. The tutoring at the auburn hills campus was just bogus. The lady I had just rushed through the assignment clearly you had better things to do and it shows. If anything orchard ridge is the only campus who actually cares and the staff at this campus is wonderful. You can only receive a great review if your service is great.!!!! Also from going to class in biology man the teachers will tell you the truth when they are mad. Some of these teacher ruin their own image and name when they are mad. Well you did it to yourself.

The financial aid office at this location is incompetent. I had to submit a form for financial aid 3 times. When I asked the lady while I was there if the form was complete and no more information is needed. I had to return 3 times with papers that they did not need in the first place. Now, waiting for financial aid to complete my profile. It’s been 7 weeks. Every week, I am told next week everything should be completed. When I called I was placed on long hold just to be told again next week. Got an email from fafsa yesterday. Apparently the financial aid office is still working on it. School starts next week. Their only solution is to pay for classes and get reimbursed. Now I have to pay 50% upfront. I am not going to be able to take classes this semester. Will be going to another school in the Winter. They are never helpful when you come in or call.
