Very Good school! My brother goes here and he loves it! The teachers are great and the curriculum is superb! I love that they offer chinese and spanish here that is very cool! 10 billion stars if i could!
This is probably the best school I have worked at. The Staff are all so kind, helpful and accepting. I worked here for almost 2 years. I felt good going to work every day. Like the work I did mattered. I felt I helped other teachers and staff often, and they helped me.
There was a major remodel that costed it seems like- more than was expected, so many people quit due to lack of funds. The Teachers have gone through a lot of changes this year with the add on and remodel, and lots of new students and staff- or staff quitting and then new staff starting. The front desk assistants are the best at helping students and teachers. We have 2 great custodians, and the Teachers here really care about your kids.
The way I describe the environment there is that it felt like a family. With all the changes in Staff and Administration it felt a bit different when I left.
They sent an email out to every student saying they are going to change the whole schedule and make it worst that better and also there is no more advisory and I was really lookin forward to meeting new 6th graders and seeing my 7th grade friends but now I can do that because they changed the schedule I don’t care if you keep it the same but please just bring back advisory please cause I don’t know when I’m ever going to see my friends again. Also I feel like you made the schedule more confusing than helpful and better. Sorry this was just an opinion so don’t get mad. - thank you from you very sad and depressed student
Pretty good school I go here I mean it's not bad good teachers I learn but the first picture is of providence hall elementary I also went there there is also a providence hall high school I will attend there in 2 years it is also pretty good according to my brother 10 out of 10 will school again also if you go there ms.ford is pretty cool and Mr.rocque is cool I do recommend also ms.craft is pretty cool
My daughter had been in public school until she got into Providence Hall for her 6th grade year. She's now a 7th grader, and both years have been great! Providence Hall office staff is super friendly, and the teachers have the kids do a lot of hands-on learning with things such as presentations, group-based projects, and experiments. Having an Advisory period seems to really help my daughter with keeping a handle on her homework and projects, and also to discuss ongoing bigger topics with the class.
The adaptation to 8 classes instead of having one teacher (in 5th grade at a public school) took a little time, but my daughter loved it. She said it was so much easier for her to give attention to a subject because it was always with someone new, teaching her in a different way than the last teacher did. She had a bit of homework every night, but nothing too strenuous or over the top.
The Principal, Mr. Fauver, is full of energy and enthusiasm for the students and the school. Take a minute to think about how often that ISN'T the case. :) Last year, I met with him individually to give some feedback about the schools science experiments and the amount of work put on the kids (aka their parents). Principal Fauver was very receptive about my concerns, and asked for suggestions about what I thought might be a good alternative solution. I liked that he didn't just pretend to listen to me, but that he actually heard me and wanted my suggestions as well. And guess what? He actually took some of my suggestions and implemented them, bc this year the science
experiment is optional rather than mandatory.
I believe that having a school that adapts when change is needed, and is innovative in the way they teach kids is priceless.
You can't get that out of a public school. I believe that you can find some amazing teachers at every school, but they can only have so much impact if the school can't easily adapt to new ideas and to what is best for the kids.
Providence Hall is an excellent school!
