I give 3 stars because I was charged with cocaine and managed to get clean and stay clean with the help of the programs they offer. I would've rated higher but when a relapse did occur, I immediately told my probation officer and the only thing he could recommend was 5 days in jail. Jail does not fix addiction, programs do. I managed to stay clean though with the threat of relapsing again, I would get 30 days. Going on 3 years clean. Thank you Livingston County for saving my life.

One of the most out of touch district courts around. Teresa Brennan was a long standing judge there, and now shes facing 6 felonies? Good example of what to expect with 53rd district. Interpret the law doesn't mean stretch interpret it to your own benefit or biased belief system.

2 fold, Dan Rose was awful, thankfully he is no more, so much drama and unprofessional behavior in this court. Jerry Sherwood is a bright star and best addition they could have. HE is fair, logical and treats people with respect. Thanks Jerry for working my small claims case and putting a positive light on that disaster of a court!

Kangaroo court. I was there when my ex was on trial for a DUI. All the prosecutor wanted to do was talk about that I was wearing a sparkly shirt? 1. I wasn't the one on trial. 2. What I wore had NO bearing on his case. The funny thing is she was saying all this while parading around the court in skin tight pants and very visible panty lines (you could see they did not fit her.) It wasn't justice, it was a joke.

I enjoy going out to Howell, because the two judges are very fair to my clients. I am usually out there on MIP, Retail Fraud and DUI cases. My clients follow my proactive program, and the prosecutors and judges are able to see my client for more than the police report provided to them. My program humanizes the client, changing the story of their case from one day, which has allowed past clients to earn great results in this court.
