I’ve used the Tabor Homestead several times and I am always happy with the service and how the birds are processed. My Paternal Great Grandfather and Grandfather were Kosher Butchers in the Boston area. My Maternal Great Grand Father had a farm in Northern Maine that supplied kosher meat. I don’t keep kosher, but I know meat, and I understand the humane aspect of kosher meat and want to make sure this is followed. When my brother and I brought our birds to Tabor Place and explained that we wanted our birds humanely processed (Kosher style if you will), Mr. Tabor was familiar with the practice and accommodated us. He already knew a lot about the Kosher process and did everything to ensure it was as close as possible. In addition, they did an excellent job and the meat was incredible. We highly recommend Tabor Place.

We brought our birds here for processing and were completely satisfied with their service. They were prompt and friendly with very clean facilities. I would definitely recommend them.

My husband brings our birds here every year. They are great people! We have neber had a problem with our birds. They make sure they are ready for the freezer and they also offer a very reasonable rates compared to other places around the area

We usually process our own birds because we raised 200+ every year. We brought our birds here years ago but the owners were rude. We stopped coming here and butchered our own birds. They are so tender because we take care of them while they're in the process of being butchered. Well, we decided we didn't want to do our birds this year because we didn't have the time to do it. So we brought them back hoping there wouldn't be a problem...WRONG. Every single bird we've eaten so far has been tough. Which means the people butchering them got them tensed up while killing them. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. If you want good quality birds for eating, you should take your business else where. I wouldn't even give this place one star.
