Las Cruces Fire Department

Thank you for your service in keeping us Las Crucens safe and teaching our kids in School how to exit in case of a fire along with other procedures to follow. We as parents try to teach our kids responsibilities an safety in everyday life skills although with work an after school activities , dinner, homework we often run out of time. We need to make that time for all our safety. I had the privilege of meeting our firefighters with station 1 approx 10 yrs ago when I worked with Americorps during the Summer at the housing projects off Calle de sosa with youth at risk I'm so grateful to you for making time in your busy schedule to come out an open the fire hydrant so the kids could enjoy the cool water from the Summer heat. Continue to be the awesome firefighters that you are an know you are appreciated.Again thank you for your service....

An outstanding Department all around! On October 25, 2018, two of their men from station 6 rendered first aid to an elderly gentleman who had trip outside and in front of the main U. S. Post Office on Commerce! A female employee from that Post Office assisted the man until the Fire Department arrived. The two fireman acted in a most professional manner in rendering first and wrapping an open wound he suffered in his fall. A neighbor of his came up and said she would make sure he got home. A great bunch of professionals all in the Las Cruces area can be most proud of!!!!

They give put sand bags wh3n it floods and offer help on installing car seats. Are fire department is great.
