We enjoyed hiking around a little here. It was fun to get down by the river. Unfortunately it was wet and muddy due to snow melting which made it slippery in spots. However we enjoyed getting out and getting some fresh air. I think it would be a nice place for a family picnic, walk and play. (Just wait until it drys a little more). The lodge looks beautiful. Currently, you can't get in it but hopefully that time will come again soon. Some interesting history about Black Hawk. Thankful bathrooms were open.

One of the best places to visit nature in the Quad Cities. Trails, views, picnic, park, and historic facility for many occasions. Some brand new stairs have been added at the southwest side bluff area and bridges for the trail. It's a mediocre level of hiking and worth it.nA map with highlighted points of interest is available by the Lodge. Read the bulletins and learn some history of this location and it's former caretakers of our beautiful section of the U.S.A.

Some parts of the trail are rough, but they are working on it. They have both pit toilets and an actual bathroom so that's great. Beautiful park right in the middle of town!
