We need more extra curricular programs for the kids at this school. It's very easy to be great at this school, however it seems there is no middle ground for those who aren't. Beautiful football and track field, could use some updates all over.

I graduated from there in 1990......who remembers when the hallways were gated shut during classes.......or when we held a walk out of classes when Mr Oneal hit a girl in the auditorium .........the school didn't seem organized in the right way at the time......there were good times as welln...but unfortunately those days still rest in my mind

I had fond memories of this School back in the late 80s. I liked it.

Those reviews must be by teachers and the principle, trying to make this school appear to be a great school, those reviews are so far from the truth! MILITARY families DO NOT move in family housing, near North Chicago by Great Lakes Naval Base, unfortunately family housing in North Chicago, community fall under district 187, the schools and most of the teachers are HORRIBLE, the High School is very dangerous and unsafe, the other schools are horrible and your child will not learn anything. Military family PLEASE do your homework, your child will not learn anything, the schools were and are so bad that the State of Illinois had to come in and take over. And even now the people who are in charge, are doing a horrible job and a disgrace to military families. The board of education is making Military families children walk to and from school, if your child is in High School and live on the base the school is very far from the base and the board of education does not care, they hired a new bus company, and the company does not want to pick our children up from the base and near by communities, the children on this side near the bass had and always had bus transportation, last year and all other years. If your child live on the base forstalle, Halsey, Nimitz and any other areas near the base your child will have to walk to school, where their is violence, sexual predators, gang and drug infested, this area is full of pedophiles, their has been a child kidnap attempts, shootings, Amber alerts, snow and rain. Areas that have good school are, Gurnee, Zion, Libertyville, Lake Forest, Highland Park, actually any other schools that's not in district 187, and north of district 187. Good Luck!!!!
