All emergency services in the town responded quickly when my dad need medical attention years ago. Very happy to have the force around.

This place is honestly a joke they literally just towed my car at 4 am for being parked on the street when no where on the street did it say that there’s no parking. This department and the dept on Townline have been harassing my family and I for months. And then they wonder why people see them as the enemy and not the friend what a joke

The community should support the PD. We are blessed to have their guidance and protection. They are part of the solution although many see law enforce as part of the problem these days. People in all walks of life are not perfect.nWe’ve lived in RLB thirty years. Nevertheless IMO a number of challenges have gone unaddressed.nFirst is speed limit enforcement. Cedar Lake Road (north of Rollins) continues to be fast and loud. Many vehicles apparently have been modified to enhance the sound. Others frequently proceed north and exceed the posted limit. The same is true to a lesser degree proceeding south on CLR. In other words many vehicles exceed the speed limit by ten miles per hour.nSecondly, inoperable vehicles in community parking areas. Such was reported recently after remaining there for at least three months.nThird, the seasonal issue of illegal fireworks.nThese are of an extreme nature. This last year in an incident our security system was activated. When reported we were told enforcement is difficult due to staff shortage on the holiday.nFourth is the problem of pet waste. Owners continue to walk their dogs in residential areas and allow their animals to use the yards of others to deposit waste.nFifth, litter. The “Adopt a Highway” program has made a difference with residents participation. However, many areas with brush and bushes Outside of resident property (CLR, etc.) appear not to be maintained. perhaps posting signs and substantial fines for littering might be a first step in addressing the problem.nPerhaps solutions can be found such as enforcement of the problems noted. In doing so all parties both civil and law enforcement will benefit: Enforcement will send a message to residents and improve the quality of life for where we live.

just nownMy car was stolen and because it was taken by someone I know without my permission who happens to be Caucasian and I am African American they gave me a hard time and told me it wssntw a crime because he stole my keys when I was sleeping and told me quote pay the fee if you want your car laughed and said I would just be more careful next time. I was mocked talked down too and the whole time theh were talking to each other joking and laughing about my complain. I will be pursuing this because I was not treated with an ounce of dignity and when I called for an officer the dispatchers told me my car was towed in round lake so a round lake officer will be taking my report and an officer was sent from a different jurisdiction that could not even address the issues so they decided to mock me indtesd. The officers and the Sargent in this department are unprofessional untrustworthy and unethical.Every experience iveI had with them has been the same or worse.
