The Graves Hume Public Library gave me a quiet space to work today. For this I am grateful. One can tell that this newer building inherits the greatness of a previous building with its roots in Mendota History. The mammoth oak study tables show the woodwork skill of an earlier time, a time of old growth oaks growing in an unharvested forest. I loved seeing art work by August Holland, probably a talented local. A lot came along when the library moved out of the previous building, probably the Carnegie Library downtown. Plus, the library strands near a convenience store, handy for break time snacks.
I enjoy everything this library has to offer. I especially enjoy the app that allows me to check out and down load books any time at no cost. Great option especially during a pandemic.
Read books, always good helpful librarians...they know me and go out of there way for me
Thank you for the pumpkin decorating experience. It provided participants a positive recreational activity that enriched our community spirt. The entire family was encouraged to participate and the blind community voting added smiles and fun to many lives.
The lady's are always sweet and willing to help you within their jobs capability
