Jury Duty is always fun, went to this building yesterday for Jury Service. This is a large building downtown centered around everything. The staff are very accomodating and the holding rooms for Jury staff are large and comfortable compared to the state Jury Duty. Take public transportation is the best way to go and take change as there is vending machines throughout the building.
I have filed multiple cases but have never found justice as a pro se non-lawyer litigant in a US Court. Even after I felt I should have won several times. The law is always twisted up against me or pawned to another Court? I never have gotten a pay check from a judge or job out of it after spending thousands with no affordable legal assistance I have ever found. I hope that if I file another case and spend the $500 filing fees that someday a judge will do me justice. As a poor underemployed non-lawyer pro se litigant who pays other people money so that I may work? Why would I ever want to waste my time attend law school when The unprofessionalism and dirty biased games I have seen in courthouses in this state (clerks office refusing to file complaints or notices or refusing to sign summons in this state or elsewhere in other states?) is a shame to be called an American sometimes? ...since I have attended several courts. I think a proper US Court should have on their record they stick up for the unemployed pro se underdog or underemployed pro se non-lawyer litigant plaintiff at least a few times a year would make this court stuff seem more American to me? We are Christian unbiased nonjudgmental country of goodwill that always does right to others for a fair and equal trial by due process? I should not feel constant animosity and ill-will towards me where I am expected to pay money and follow all the rules when government leadership entities named as defendants’ might do whatever they want and not receive fines or punishment for refusing to sign a waiver to serve when the clerks play dirty refuse to sign a summons against government leaders named as defendants’. The clerk, courtroom and leadership is a disgrace to America. Equal due process for a non-lawyer or some lawyers is a joke? Clerks do not have to sign a summons to file complaint and defendants are not fined when they refuse to sign a waiver for summons? Sad. It is a judges job to create order and equality in the courtroom. What happened to winning on default when clerk messes up did not follow court rules or defendants refuse to sign waiver or respond. Court refuses to serve by us marshall? Some people are above the law?
Works great
Be sure to remove metal items before you even walk in the door, because they'll try to usher you through the detectors ASAP. Other than that, security and administrative staff were all very helpful and willing to assist with any concerns you have about location, time, etc.
First day of becoming US citizen. Despite the much anticipated wait, the security officers at the entrance ruined the experience. Condescending racist remarks from these officers are extremely offensive and should not be tolerable. Is this how the District Court handle/train these people? Disgusted.
