This place is amazing. So many different artists and styles- something for everyone. I usually leave either having bought a piece of art or wishing that I had. This is a program that provides a working space and gallery for artists with disabilities. I'm an artist and I find the work inspiring, it makes me want to go home and create! They have an online gallery/shop for Covid times, and can be seen in person by appointment. I'm hoping that they open soon to the public as soon as safe.

I love sharing Project Onward with my local friends and out-of-town visitors. They are all floored by the quality and quantity of the artwork produced by the artists here, and it's rare they leave without buying a memento or gift (I mean, how couldn't you? It's a non-profit, so every purchase is 100% feel-good.).nnThe best time to visit is when the artists are working in the studio. The energy they bring to the space is infectious, and addicting (at least I haven't been able to stop visiting and volunteering on a regular basis for the last three years). Most of them love to talk about their work, and, it is plain to see, how passionate, talented and genuine they all are.nnEven when the artists aren't there, the studio space is incredible. It is easy to spend hours looking at the art covering the walls, and flipping through the art bins. I highly doubt you'll have trouble finding a piece or two to bring home at any price range, but, if you do, the artists will take commissions! My go-to gifts for special events and holidays are custom portraits, which start at $40.

We first heard about Project Onward when we purchased one of their artists’ pieces at the Hyde Park Art Fair, and since then have visited the Gallery and purchased another piece there. I very much enjoyed my visit to the Gallery, especially getting to meet many of the artists and getting a first-hand tour of their work by the artists themselves.
