Been going here since I was a kid when they actually sold .01 penny candy. I remember filling up a bag of candy with only a dollar when I was younger. All us kids would ride our bikes up to the store and drop them by the door. A lot has changed since then.

I recently purchased some wine for my wife at Meldrum’s and when I got home and she tried it it was bad brought it back to the store for either in exchange or refund and the clerk said because it was not out of date he would not give me a refund or exchange for the wine. Very unhappy I threw the bad wine in the trash as I walked out the door and told The clerk I will never come back I have been going to Meldrum‘s package store on and off for the past 30 years if I could give zero stars I would.

The owners are rather courteous to most of the customers, but I wish they were more strict about people not wearing a mask. There is a sign on the entry door established by the Governor of Mass. They should stock more grocery items.

If possible, I would give a negative 1. Have been going there for years, but after today, I won’t be back. My husband picked up some wine for me and once opened it smelled and tasted horrible. We took it back only to receive no apology nor were we offered a refund or an exchange. Needless to say we won’t be back!
