Just attended the reopening. I love this bar. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great place to bring your pup catch up with friends and sit by the fire.

CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19. I spent some time chatting with a local who shared the sad news along with an update of local and global event. This seems like a place worth rallying around to try to help save. It's so unsure how a stifled community can do something so monumental. This charming place seems doomed to become history.

This is a great watering hole for the sugarhouse community. They even let well behaved dogs into the patio area; where most people seem to gather during the warmer months, and even cold because of outdoor heaters. They have a decent selection of alcohol, mostly competent bar tenders, pool, darts. But above all, this place is great for the ambiance. The people (and dogs) are all mostly really awesome and very friendly. I highly recommend this locale, just don't tell everyone like I'm doing right now. (Sorry)

I like to bring my dog here. The Big Bubba / buddah maybe is so good with franks red hot sauce.

They had a recent menu change not reflected on the website, the cheeseburger they had was replaced by sliders. The old cheeseburger was great and came with fries included. The sliders don't come with fries, and have little flavor, no pop, no seasoning. New staff is uninformed, didn't offer me a menu and had to come back and let me know about the menu change but failed to mention no inclusion of fries. I ordered fries on the side and the order of fries was far too large to be a side order. I've visited the campfire lounge well over 20 times in the last year. The recent menu changes have left a disappointed taste for me. I was concerned when I overheard the bartender's that knew me well talking about leaving en mass and on my most recent visit, I found those concerns to be well founded. I recommend that when the crowd in the bar gets loud with chatter, do NOT turn up the volume of the music. It only causes the crowd to talk louder. People do not come to this kind of bar to listen to a basic playlist, they come to socialize, meet dates and have a few drinks/ food with friends. If we wanted music over conversation, we would go to a piano or karaoke bar. Amy is great, she is very attentive.
