I'm very disappointed in Ray Eldridge Jewelry. We purchased my engagement ring and wedding ring set at the Peoria location. They always gave us great service. We were a little concerned when small diamonds fell out of my engagement ring within the first year, but they repaired them for free. When they closed, they guaranteed if we ever had issues moving forward, we could go to the Decatur location for the same level of service. I called there today because we are again having issues with diamonds falling out of my ring. We have paid to have it repaired locally (several times), but because it keeps happening in different areas of the ring, we know there must be an issue with the setting. I should not need a completely new setting after only 6 years. I called the Decatur store today to explain our situation and offered to drive it to Decatur this week and was quickly discouraged to do so. They told me they would charge us the same amount a local store would to repair it, and there is nothing they can do to help with a flawed setting. I was hoping they could help us contact the company that made the setting or at the very least discount the repair. I was told there is no discount or assistance offered after one year of owning the ring. I appreciate that this saves me a useless trip to Decatur, but that is not the service we were promised by the Peoria location. I'm so glad I called first so this disappointment didn't occur in person. We will take our business elsewhere, like you encouraged me to do on the phone today.

My ex husband and I bought my engagement ring and wedding band from them about 9 years ago. We have since divorced and I brought my ring back into them to see if they would be interested in buying it back. I assumed they used quality diamonds and might have some use for them. We paid almost 10,000 for the ring and band. I first called to see if someone was in to look at it since I live 50 miles away. They said no. I asked when there would be someone and they reluctantly told me just bring it in whenever. I drove all the way to have them spend about 1 minutes looking at it and saying “we’re not interested.” Shocked, I said I was surprised since we bought it from them. She looked disgusted with me and again said “we’re not interested.” This leads me to believe the sold us a low quality ring. She looked at me and treated me as if I brought a piece of junk into them. I am so disappointed and offended that they dismissed me so quickly and rudely after we spent 10,000 with them. Please know this is who you will deal with in the future if you buy from them.

Needed my ring finger sized. They were happy to help (free of charge) even though I wasn't shopping or buying a ring. Great customer service.
