We live the same distance from Buck Snort in Missouri Valley and Harlan. Tonight we decided to try the one in Harlan. Let's just start with we'll keep going to Missouri Valley. Salad comes before your dinner, not after the meal us served. Second we had the Country Fried steak. Please please change your cooking grease. It has a horrible old burnt taste. Luckily if you smother each bite with potatoes and gravy it kills the grease taste. Until the after taste and mushroom burger doesn't really seem like a Saturday night dinner special.

Great food. Decent prices, definitely on the higher end of pricing. Good service. Average service speed. Great root beer. Great mac and cheese. Good variety.

Bucksnort is a local group of restaurants in the Western Iowa area. The Menu is good and the Specials are tasty. If you find yourself at a location give them a try!

We order Harlan Bucksnort at least once a month. The food was great tonight and done in a timely manner. Very friendly staff. Would recommend!!

Ordered food pretty close to closing but was assured we could get fit in and was told it would be 45 minutes. Ordered almost $50 worth of food and drove it home (15 min drive) and when we get there my burger was dry and the edges of the bun were rock solid and my fries were floppy and cold. I ordered the Italian burger and the mozzarella sticks were cold as ice and the marinara sauce was cakey and crusty. My boyfriend got the chicken fried chicken and it was greasy and the chicken was mush when he cut into it. We called to complain and were told to come in the next day and get our money back but when we did the owner/manager(heavyset gray haired guy) accused him of lying and saying of course it would be gross since we drove 15 minutes home “what did you expect?” was his general question to every issue we had. We did not get any sort of refund for food that just got chucked in the trash. Their food is trash and service is also trash. 0/10 don’t recommend.
