We are working in dothan and i thought my crew chief was lying but there it was the world's smallest city block it was cool to see.
Not technically a block, but a traffic island. If we're counting traffic islands as blocks there are definitely smaller ones.
Someone on the city council must have had a sense of humor. This wasn't as easy to find as we thought it would be. Turns out to be more of a small triangle where there is an engraved granite stone. Not really anything else there except for the intersection of roads that created it. Good for a laugh, but don't out of your way to find it, unless you don't have anything else to do.
A bit disappointing, no explanation why or how it became the smallest city block.
Funny little attraction. A good quick stop to break up a long drive but probably not worth a detour of more than 30 minutes. You won't need more than 3 minutes to park, dash out for a pic, and then be back on the road.
