The Carver museum is an amazing asset to the wiregrass area. A great restored historic building, amazing eye opening content and a terrific staff. If you live in this area or are traveling through I highly recommend going by and checking it out. Check out their website for great events.
I can't truly rate a place closed due to Covid! Sad it had to be closed and had no options to still be open.
I had the opportunity to attend the Carver Museum and be apart of the #Money Moves workshop for teens. I brought my church group of teens to attend and we really enjoyed it. The kids loved the workshop that Desmond Douglas put together. We also enjoyed some history that the Carver Museum has to offer. If you love history then you will love this place. And if you have a tender heart like me you will be crying way before the tour is over.
Small but very informative museum. It is free and parking is ample, not a bad place to hang out for 30 minutes. The staff is small but very friendly! No need for a tour at third place.
