The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable where to find what you are looking for!
Took my 6 yr old granddaughter here. We were abruptly stopped at the door and had to put on masks AND GLOVES ! Really? Adult gloves for a 6 year old??? Felt very uncomfortable. The store is quaint and beautiful, but the prices are 3 times the amount you'll pay elsewhere. The older women who work there are not very friendly. Won't return, no matter how cute the store is ...
I grew up coming to the Children’s Hour and love it so much! I’m always able to find what I’m looking for. The perfect place to find a great gift or the perfect outfit.
I have shopped here many times over the years, but this week I had such an uncomfortable experience, I will not be returning. I believe that due to my darker hair and skin, I was followed around by an associate, who shadowed my every move. It was almost comical, but also upsetting. As I made my way to the back of the store, I saw an older, white woman who was shopping in peace, without a shadow and I felt envious of her. I like to shop local, but I can’t support a store that treats its customers differently based on the color of their skin.
This is my FAVORITE store in SLC! I come each time I am in town and am always happy to see the caring and knowledgable staff! Pro-tip - check out their great books near the cash register:)
