Location listed as bayse but directions fir start at in West Virginia Google maps took us 10 miles on narrow gravel roads across pass. Best fir 4wheel drive or high clearance vehicle. Hike starting location is old road West Virginia on private property. Skip this hike and go to lost river state park West Virginia. Lots of well marked Nice trails friendly staff
The trails leading up to arrowhead was kinda boring. Also starts off well marked them get wild at end. But the view at the end was worth it. I started at shrine and did up and back making 5 miles. Over 1,500 feet of elevation gain. I did north mountain trail.
Relatively easy hike going took about 90 minutes to get up. Definitely wear ankle support, Very rocky trail at points. Although did see people being dogs... Happy travels! >Chief
The hike is tedious with a relatively narrow and unkempt trail, but it is quite nice. Very steep, highly suggest a walking stick and sturdy hiking boots as you will be crossing about 3 creeks and 1 stream.
Great views and a sweet cave/outcropping as well
