Big E parking is massive. It also cost less than the surrounding areas that charge as much as $20. It's a complete rip off, and a farther walk. The downfall to this is there can be major lines to enter due to the slow nature of the booths in which one pays. The simple solution would be dated parking passes that can be sold and printed online from home. Technology and/or logic hasn't caught up with whoever runs the Big E every year. I guess time shall tell if the fix it. Either way enjoy your time at the fair.

My family always camps along the back and it's always a fun time.

This is a fantastic fair with something for everyone. There's lots of fun 4H and other agricultural stuff going on. There are free music concerts and events once you pay the entrance fee of course. There is a vast assortman of all kinds of food although if you're vegetarian you'll have to do a bit more searching to find something you can eat. I don't eat meat but there were some Mediterranean foods that were delicious and vegetarian. My all-time favorite food is the Big E cream puff. It's real whipped cream. The fair is crowded and the traffic is busy. We parked at the fair for $10 although there is parking for $20 outside the fair.

The Better Living Center had The International Gem and Mineral show for the public and wholesale buying was at The Young Bldg. In past years it was all in Better Living Ctr. I found it a very frustrating experience as I had to relearn where everyone was located. It was too much walking especially in the heat. Bldgs are not air-conditioned enough. Just too hot. I had to walk between buildings because the suppliers said they didn't have everything in the wholesale. That was maddening because I had to go back and forth. They we're telling me the tables didn't have enough room. The wholesalers shouldn't be allowed to be in both places. I couldn't get or find what I needed. Not going back again and I have gone for 26 yrs. Will order online or somewhere else. It was also so crowded you couldn't get close to the tables and there shouldve been more space between the tables. Lighting was also bad. Just made shopping there unbearable.
