It was actually a very nice, peaceful visit for us. The weather was beautiful, the place is kept clean and the birds were out in abundance! There are numerous paths to take so it's very easy to wonder along alone if you choose too. The house/Quinta and it's immediate grounds are quite beautiful too! I highly recommend it!

This is amazing place for many reasons. I have attended many of their talks and they are always wonderful. If you are looking for birds you will see many varieties. Lots of different plants of the area. The bronze statues around the grounds are beautiful. Take the tour of the house it is a nice tour and very informative of how this place became a now place to go.

Great educational and fun place for all ages. Really good presentations from time to time, great venue for weddings, etc., wonderful historical buildings, fabulous slice of nature on the grounds with art, interpretative information, joyous stuff for kids, the best yard swing I've ever seen, all right on the edge of McAllen, all easily walkable with plenty of parking. Love this place!

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Trails weren't huge so it's good for little ones and the time we went they had a trail dedicated to the lorax. Definitely want to go back.
