Medical response is seriously lacking!! I witnessed a call earlier...EMS responders arrived at the scene, AT LEAST, 20 minutes after the call (I'm being generous with that number.) They responded to the scene with no stretcher or stair chair to get the patient out to the ambulance. After a collapse, this person lay in wait, in a hot building, on a dirty, concrete floor for over 20 minutes....finally, EMS shows up..no stretcher..no equipment to move the patient, no sense of urgency...nothing! Oh wait, they did bring a jump bag!! The patient continued to lay in this dirty and uncomfortable environment until EMS responders had made their assessment...now we are a good 35 - 40 minutes into the call. (Again, I'm being generous with the time.) Eventually, someone ran and got a chair and EMS did help the patient up and into the chair. (Gotta give credit where credit is due. SMH) After another maybe 10 mins or so...they walked the patient to the ambulance. Ridiculous!!! ...Seriously, it was hard to watch. Emergency MEDICAL response in Weakley county, you need to step up your game! ....1 star for helping the patient up and into a chair.
