As Graysville is a tiny town, I did not expect the library to have the selection that it does. There is certainly enough nty in this place to keep kids & adults busy reading. The selection is limited, but it is a good place to start, at the very least. The librarian is not very helpful. She’s polite & friendly, but does not have the knowledge necessary to help with library or local research. Maybe, I’ve just been spoiled by librarians in other places - I expect them to be able to help me research the available databases, or at least help me get access to them, and be knowledgeable about the local area or at least be able to point me to people who are. I set the bar pretty low before I visited here, and I was impressed & disappointed after my visit.
You don't have to be a book lover to enjoy the Graysville Library, but if you DO , there's hundreds of books for all ages and covering so many topics. There's also videos, computers, plenty of room for quiet studying and researching. The librarian, Debbie Pelfrey is so helpful and dedicated to making your visit pleasant and productive. The assistant, Jennifer Mize, is such a great asset to the library and certainly lives up to her title, she is a super assistant. We are fortunate to have our beautiful and spacious library along with Ms. Pelfrey & Ms. Mize waiting to help everyone.
