Hotel has gone down hill. The bathroom toilet holder broke cause it wasn't put on right, the caulking on the tub had mold on it, the bath mat in the tub was coming off and under the part coming off had mold all over it, the shower head made a whistle sound the whole time you took a shower. The people next to us were being so loud till about 2am. We use to love to stay here because the pool is inside but that was closed too.
Its a nice looking hotel and I usually have a great experience at comfort suites. This particular one however isn't being kept up quite to the standards I'm used to seeing. The room had a damp or old towel like smell and the bathroom had what looks like quite a bit of damage. The shower curtain rod was broken and the drywall looked to be buckling from water damage. When brought to the attention of the staff nothing was done. I will be staying elsewhere next time I'm in town.
I would give it 5 stars but when I stayed the keys wouldn’t work. Had too keep going back and forth too get keys. I left things in the room and they were sent too me. Thank You so much.
Work brings me back to Sumter. Friendly people. TVs have been upgraded to larger size.
Signs say under new ownership - failing for now. Internet wouldn't come up, desk brusquely told me call the hotline. I did. Helpful person told me there was only one access point on my floor and I was no where near it. Coffeemaker was missing parts, toilet wouldn't flush properly, the list goes on. I know these facilities are owned franchises, but I expect some sort of standards. Perhaps I just miss Midwestern and Western service and hospitality.
