The beach walk is otherworldly. Giant ghosts of ancient trees are strewn across the beach to create the effect of a modern art installation.nnAnd then there are the driftwood castles basking on the southern shore, which make it feel a bit like burning man (but without the naked hippies).nnDon't pass this one by.

The plantation and history behind it is amazing. A lot of beautiful scenery. I took so many great photos. Up by Jason's pond my husband and I saw a shark swimming there in the brackish water. Blew my mind but loved it so much. I was looking for a gator but instead saw shark!

Great beach to walk, appreciate the different kinds of seashells and the creativity of the people that arrange them in particular ways, the trees are also a nice part of this landscape.

A great mix of history and nature/wildlife; it features the remnant of two late 18th/19th Century Sea Island Cotton Plantations and a variety of habitats. There are a lot of Fox Squirrels and Blue Birds and I would guess Deer and Turkey as well.

My favorite place near Charleston to visit the beach. It makes me feel like I'm a castaway. Lots of driftwood and trees scattered on beach, lots of nooks to be cozy and relax, and good place for birding.
