This place is allot nicer than I thought it was going to be. I’ve heard people talk about it, & they left me with not so favorable opinion of it. I tried it, & it is very nice. Easy access to the water. Easy to launch your boat there, with a nice courtesy dock. I can’t wait to go back. I’m sure it will be soon!
Nice place to take the dogs, not many people.
The water is nice and cold. Nice unloading/load ramp plenty of parking or space for everyone.
The recent upgrades have made this ramp a real joy to launch from.
Once we discovered this spot we haven’t really gone anywhere else. If we just want a swim day outside of the pool and don’t want to haul a boat out or DO since the ramp and area around it are safe and clean but the “beach” which is both grass and then sand as it extends is perfect. Never too packed and while it’s not a huge space it’s still almost all rock free so no shoes needed when you swim or just want to take a dip. Beautiful cold water even in the middle of summer. Great spot to slide kayaks in and float. Also while it is clean some people are just disrespectful and leave trash. Don’t be that person because there’s local neighbors that do volunteer daily to clean up any trash left out and why add to a job they already don’t get paid to do. Take the kids and family out to this spot. You’ll love it. (As one mentioned,no there’s no shade but as a sun lover I don’t need it. There is a few picnic tables but we’ve always just utilized the grass and thrown blankets down.)
