Northern Oklahoma Regional Pediatric Clinic

Yesterday we took our baby to see Dr. Agha. He checked him over and said it’s a virus. Today, after he ran over 102+ fever with medication while alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen I called again. Something was wrong with my baby. Receptionist said he can’t be seen without a Covid test. I informed her I would not see Agha again. I prefer any other physician there. The local health department wouldn’t do it because he was under 1. I took him for a test at 11 at urgent care for strep, Covid, and flu. At 1 pm I called and informed them he was negative. They proceeded to ask who paid for the test because soonercare has a daily cap. I didn’t care if I had to pay, or insurance (which, by the way, he is a foster baby and has to be on soonercare), my baby was sick. She said a nurse would call right back. At 3:30 I get a call, we can be seen at 4:30 “if that’s what I want to do”. We were already at urgent care because again, 102+ fever for now going on 30 hours. I told her we were waiting to we another provider at urgent care because he HAS to be seen. She said to let them know if we need anything else. Why yes, you could have seen my child when I asked because he was sick. I complied with every hoop they wanted me to jump through. Turns out he has a terrible double ear infection and could have had fever related seizures if I hadn’t been proactive. He also had an RSV test done which, if we had waited would probably turn positive within days with his symptoms. Luckily, it is negative.This office proved today they do not care about my children. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your pediatric needs. We’ve been with them for a long time (from 05-10 and 18-2020). I now remember why we stopped going with our girls. They’ll never treat my children again. Absolutely no regard to a (justified) concerned parent.

Today I am sooo thankful for lacy brewer she is hands down the best APRN we have seen. Since peyton was about 4/5 we have had trouble with her as many know. We have seen dr after dr I think we have seen about 3 to be exact and not one has taken me seriously. A lot of it was she was too little but even at an appropriate age no dr would take me serious about her behavior and it affecting school. After finally switching to lacy she has actually listened to what I’ve had to say. Took all the steps we needed to starting from the very bottom and today we finally have accepted that Peyton does in fact have ADHD!!!! We start meds ASAP and I couldn’t be more relieved I could cry!! After 3/4 years it’s resolved. Lacy is hands down the best APRN!!!!!
