10:30 on a Wednesday in downtown Tulsa and you’re hungry? This kitchen is open until 11!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Pictures cover the walls. Interesting trinkets and books adorn the shelves. Almost like being at a parents house. We decided to eat at the bar since we were one of 3 people in the restaurant. The bartender was friendly and quick to assist. We both ordered the half price burger. I had a Left Hand milk stout to accompany mine. These plump juicy burgers are covered with mushrooms and blue cheese crumbles. They come with skinny fries topped with rosemary. Delicious and quite a deal!

All of our food was delicious! We had the pork chop, beef fillet, angry mac&cheese with chicken and thier tavern burger. Exceptional cooking all the meats were so tender, flavored very well and overall prepared with a talented kitchen staff. Our waitress was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food. The angry Mac & Cheese is definitely spicy!

Service was okay at best, wait staff seemed to be slamming bottles and pitchers down. Wait staff also passed over me for drink refills even though others at table got them. Food was decent but we had a hair in an appetizer and in one of the main dishes. The manager came and apologized profusely and paid for the meal minius the alcoholic drinks we had at the table. I might be willing to go back in the future but definitely not anytime soon.

This is the place to eat if you like some hair with your food! Ordered a devilled egg appetizer, there was hair sticking out of the mixed egg filling. Manager replaced it, we went on with the meal. Then after eating most of our meals found another hair mixed in with the french fries. We were done at that point! We all left food on our plates. Very disappointed! This place was recommended, was looking forward to trying it. Manager tried to make it right but unfortunately won't be returning. Just don't trust their sanitary practices!

We have ordered Thanksgiving dinner and now Christmas dinner from The Tavern in Tulsa and it’s been an absolute home run both times. The food is so delicious, and there are no dishes to clean up and no prep work involved. The ordering process is super simple and I’m not sure I’ll ever be cooking for a major holiday again. If you haven’t tried ordering a dinner yet from them, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s such a time saver!
