SpringHill Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park

The lobby looked cool and the room is big but other than that I would not recommend. The staff was not accommodating (no bed sheets for the couch bed, didn’t give us any extra towels, etc.) The staff was also rude to my sister when she asked for a new room key after ours didn’t work. Also, the elevator stinks and the whole hotel could use a renovation as it looks as if it hasn’t been touched by a building inspector since the 80’s. If I were you I would look into the Sheraton next door.

Clean! Nice area! Not expensive $90 for a room. Super NICE accommodating from desk staff. We are happy campers!

Sadly, if I could give a negative on my review I would. I booked for 2 nights however upon entering my room for the first night at 2am, I can not stay both. This room is subpar, looks extremely old, dusty, smelled funny, had burns holes and stains in the carpet and dirt spots on the walls. The bedding had long hair in it as well as the hand towels. My standard routine is to check the bed and mattress to ensure it is bug free. None were found but the room for damn sure screams they are welcome. I would not advise.

Both elevators broke and I had to spend half of my trip going up and down 4 flights of stairs. I visited this hotel about a month prior and 1 elevator was broken. Why let it remain broken and only take action when they finally both break down? I have 5 children and it was completely unacceptable. I stayed 4 nights and was told I would get 1 free night for the inconvenience and have yet to receive it, it’s been over a week. This place is usually my go to place to stay when I travel but I’m not sure it will remain that way any longer. On top of all that when we finally got moved to the 1st floor, one of the glass pictures was shattered! We were so tired from moving rooms we didn’t notice it until the next morning. As soon as one of the workers touched the picture, huge shards of glass fell everywhere! My child and husband slept in the bed below the picture that previous night! That could have been so bad and not 1 person noticed it while cleaning the room?! I am beyond upset and disappointed at the laziness of the workers here.

The room was nice the staff was great when I got to the hotel later than I wanted to.. the bed was very nice to sleep on it was able to get a good night sleep before catching my flight early in the morning check out was easy and quick in and out
