Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park

Perfect. Everywhere is clean and well managed. Great warm breakfast even during pandemic. Sanitizer stands are everywhere.nnI have a Electric Vehicle, and they let me use outdoor plug to charge it during the night. Nice, helpful and very welcoming staff. Clean rooms.

This hotel is nice and clean and the staff is pleasant. However, my husband has been working out of state and staying with them while doing so. Every single week he was there, we had issues with them double charging us for the room. This didn’t happen just once but 4 times out of the 6 weeks he was there. One time is a mistake. 4 times is unacceptable. No solutions were offered other than us to wait for the refund and we all know how long those things take. I would avoid this place at all costs. Since switching hotels, we have not had one issue with the new hotel and charging us appropriately. If you must stay here, only pay cash otherwise they will take more than they are owed and you will be straight out of luck because they do not care nor do they offer solutions to fix it promptly.

The service was great; the amenities such as free parking, free continental breakfast, and hand sanitizers entering the building/elevator were all great additions during Covid but the room was not my favorite. The bathroom shower door was odd; opened up on the end behind the bathroom door rather opposite it, so your were entering under the shower head. The room smelled like moth balls and wet carpet; this has taken my review from five to three. We had to sleep in this room for 4 days. I was not thrilled by the smell that wouldn’t go away. Otherwise cleaning staff were friendly and timely with servicing the room.

Ashley at the front desk cracked jokes with us and made us feel welcome at our check-in. Rooms were spotless. Shower was a nice sliding glass with a wonderful drain that made little musical notes when water landed on it. Bed was super comfy. The whole room was very clean, and it even had a sign posted saying how seriously they took hygiene in the room in light of COVID. All was great. Thank you Ashley!

Ashley is the front desk girl. She deserves her own TV comedy special and a raise! The hotel is great, clean and as I would expect from Fairfield. Ashley is what makes the hotel special.
