Saluda Mountain Lodge

This a a great location with close access to many awesome trails in the area. Try hiking the green river narrows trail. The last part is very steep but its well worth it. As far as the rooms go, no complaints. The view out of the back of the hotel is amazing. They have an outdoor fire pit as well.

I was traveling during the week and arrived very early. Check in is 3 PM. The staff allowed me to check in around 11 AM. I was most pleased with the entire stay. My room was clean and comfortable. I was in one of the end rooms that does not have direct access the the back of the lodge where the most amazing view awaits. The views make you feel close to God. There is a constant cool breeze. It is the best place I have ever found for peace and quiet! It is very easy get to from I 26. There is a fire pit and the lodge provides firewood. You might want to bring a fire starter. They are not allowed to serve the S'mores due to Covid. The stars are incredible from that high in the sky. Don't tell anyone how wonderful it is. Best kept secret!nnThe WildFlour Bakery, in Saluda, has the best turkey wrap ever. I also visited the Iron Key Brewery in Columbus. It's a new restaurant with a nice patio and delicious food. I really want to go back

Will not stay here again....room was not clean. Carpet was not even vacuumed as there were dead bugs and nail clippings all around the floor. Spider webs greeted us in the bathroom as well. The shower did not drain well and as you used it the noise sounded like a screeching hawk in flight after it’s last meal. All the outside lights were not working outside the rooms on our side of the building....so if you arrived at your room after dark, be prepared to use your vehicle headlights to see yourself into your room as when the sun goes down...it got DARK!! The lock on our back door never locked either. On the plus side, the heat worked! We were given an “adjoining” room although not needed nor requested as we wanted peace and quiet....and our next door neighbors were extremely loud with young children who kept banging on the adjoining door and asking us to open it for them.....ummmm, nope! Although the views were nice, it wasn’t worth the price nor the issues we put up with. Not real sure how “Lodge” fits into the name as nothing about the place speaks lodge to me.

Very quaint family friendly lodge with amazing views! We had a great visit. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious, up to date, and very clean. Look forward to staying again.

I caught a flat tire and had to wait for a delivery, but this led to me finding this wonderful little lodge. Clean, well decorated, and the view is outstanding. Next time I do this trip, I will be stopping here on purpose.
