Lemon Tree Inn

We stayed here the night of October 17, 2020. The only reason this hotel gets one star is because of the genuine friendliness of the owner, and the bed was comfy. The rest is horrible. Dead bugs everywhere, spiderwebs everywhere, parking lot was horrible, stains on the towels, mold on the ceiling, walls, shower curtain, a paper plate behind the toilet letting us know that the powder on it was boric acid... I tried to find someone in the NC health department to report this hotel in, but have yet to find someone to talk to. This place has got to have a lot of health violations.

It is a nice place to stay. I think the owner really makes this places charm. It is an old building...not one of those fancy places for sure....but it is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owner is a sweet, friendly person who appreciates his guests. He'll make breakfast for you...and offer a drink of your choice. I had a wine cooler and a nice visit as soon as I arrived. He was.cery kind to my dog, and truly has a nice heart.nNot a fancy place for sure..but very welcoming and the price is right.

This place should be condemned!! The man seemed nice but then overcharged us after the fact for a bug/rat infested hole. My dog didn't even wanna be there. Would have rather stayed in my car!! My boyfriend said he had been in nicer trap houses. If I could give this a negative rating I definitely would!!!

Doesn’t deserve one star. Horrid place that is in need of deep cleaning and updating. We decided to just sleep in the truck after entering the room and only used the room for its shower. Curtis , the owner, is an older kind gentleman that was very welcoming but is either delusional about the state of this place or just taking advantage of tourists. Plenty of other nice places around for same price.
