Traditional technique and craftsmanship meet modern style. When you visit Courtney Martin Pottery, you also get to visit John Geci glass--they are a married couple, so their studios are on the same property and they share a showroom. They produce some of the most handsome, beautifully crafted and tasteful work in the Toe River Valley area, which is saying a lot. Courtney makes gorgeous functional stoneware pottery which would look great in almost any setting, from a rustic log cabin to a slick modern loft or house, or even a more traditional dining room. John makes blown glass in simple, beautiful forms, sometimes using canework techniques and bold colors. His work, like Courtney's, is understated but extremely stylish. They are both lovely people and you'll enjoy spending time with them!
