Eagles Nest at Capodimonte

Amazing 360 degrees view and spacious clean place. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every moment.

Scary drive up the mountain the first time, but totally worth it. Great place.

The Eagels Nest at Capodimonte far exceeded my expectations. We vacationed here from Florida at the end of March during Florida Spring Break. We came with multiple families and had plenty of space for all. Between 3 families we rented the Eagles Nest lodge and Eagles Perch. Upon arrival the units were in pristine condition with everything we could have asked for. Our Aunt stayed in the perch and loved it! It was a perfect retreat for her with plenty of space and amenities. In the lodge we housed 3 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 children under 7 years old. The kids loved the hot spa and were in it everyday. Four of the children stayed in the loft area where there are 2 bunk beds which easily could have fit 6 kids. There were plenty of board games and toys already here for them to enjoy. They also had access to cable tv, dvds, streaming television, and so on in the loft as well as their own bathroom. The adults and 5th kid stayed on the lower level and had plenty of sleeping space as well as storage space for personal belongings and a centrally located beautifully designed bathroom. Let me just take a minute to brag about the kitchen. It was more than the adults could have asked for with more than enough storage space and any pot, pan, utensil, and equipment you can imagine. We were able to buy groceries at a local Food Lion and cook all meals here at the lodge and never were without the proper cooking utensils already stocked here. The 2 fireplaces kept the lodge nice and warm and made for a beautiful ambiance. I can not talk about this property without boasting about the breathtaking view. As a native Floridian, any type of elevation in nice. This view takes the cake. It is gorgeous from every angle! We were in close proximity to many family activities. From hikes with waterfalls and airplane crashes, to a wonderful playground named Poteet Park. We visited the small town of Bryson City and enjoyed walking around as well as indulging at Heavenly Fudge, yum!! There is plenty to do and see here at the lodge, but its also so close to many other fun family activities. I recommend the Eagles Nest to anyone and everyone, whether vactioning alone, with only adults, and/or with children. There is definitely something here for everyone!
