Comfort Suites Whitsett - Greensboro East

Hi, I first want to say this Hotel was Fantastic and the best service and price. Staff went out of their way to provide me with valuable information and to reserve a room for me. I was broke down off exit 132 after having a flat with both regular and spare tire at 12:00am in the morning. I was off the exit at the Hampton Inn so I went in to ask if they had a room to stay, I was told no vacancies they was booked but the parking lot barely had any cars and looking up at the windows of the hotel I can see many rooms had the light near the windows on and curtains wide open and was that way for hours. Only 14 cars in the parking lot that holds 40 plus cars go figure. I finally find Comfort Inn and the staff recommended me to try calling Uber to get a ride to their hotel which I did, the room was exceptional. Bed was comfortable the tub/shower was very very clean. Breakfast was fantastic especially the waffles, l would love to have that setup at home. Breakfast area was clean and the food was fresh. Keep up the good work. I will surely stay here again without a doubt. Thank you for everything!

Hello, first of all, I'm writing this post because I am up and not asleep as I should be. I am grateful to be able to get a room with all if the power outages around us. But the sofa bed mattress was horrible and was told by the desk clerk could put a cover over it. But after seeing it , who would do that. So we made do, then the room was so crazy hot, even after putting the air on. It was loud, and did not cool room at all. My husband has to be at work at 5am, and is miserable sleeping. This is just and awful night and unacceptable. To be told no maintenance on the grounds. I've stayed here before and have never witnessed this. Just so disappointing.

I am not sure how this facility has such high ratings... we chose this location for a one night out of town travel. First, it is nonsmoking upon walking up some is standing outside the door puffing away on cigarette, please enforce being away from main entrance so non smokers don’t have to deal with smoke, so we check in, given room 206, we make our way up to the room to find the room disgusting. The table is full of food crumbs and spilled drink on table. (Makes you wonder about cleanliness if your not “cleaning surfaces” which should be a basic step even prior to COVID-19 much less during the pandemic) then we were transferred to I believe 229, which the sink stopper didn’t work without holding it down, the room temperature was showing 68 on heater but as someone who is cold natured I was burning up, we eventually turned down in 50s and opened the window to cool off the room. The mattress wasn’t a plush mattress as what is a “standard feature’ above the other hotel in Choice Hotels. It was way to firm and just was uncomfortable. The elevator smelled like smoke the floor in elevator had what looked like coffee stains (dried) the corners had dirt showing it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. Disappointed as it didn’t feel safe for COVID expectations but certainly not even cleaned on a normal day without pandemic. I will look at other Hotel chain going forward as Comfort Suites used to be reasonably price and along with higher standards than most. But it’s hit or miss with them. Not sure how they have such high reviews ...Lastly, as part of rewards we were offered points or gift. We chose gift but never got anything either. I am sure it was a mistake but just another example how things aren’t up to par.
