Had water damage and mold from a leaking enclosed shower, over a long period of time. They were told we have mold allergies and other health issues, and assured me they were trained and competent to correctly remediate the home. Untrue! They did not follow basic guidelines, from self protection like wearing masks and gloves to improper barriers and leaving the entire air system open. Brought multiple open garbage bags of moldy materials throughout my house, spreading contamination. Then used a shop vac! in an unsealed area after cutting out moldy drywall. I had to leave my house with a rescue inhaler and epi pen, and hire another company to come in and evaluate the original situation, as well as the additional damage due to completely improper techniques. RUN!!!
We love Service Master!! We wouldn't have anyone else clean our floors and they clean the carpets in all our rentals. They are always on time and their work is perfect!
Called to see if they could replace water-damaged drywall and I was told they don't do drywall replacement service; only drying out services.
I'm leaving this review with 5 stars because the customer service rep was polite and I felt it was important that people know that this business does not appear to truly restore water-damaged homes. They just help get rid of the water.
We had a flood in Cottonwood Heights. Drainage system didn’t work so we had about 24 inches of water and mud in our basement. Response time was good, people were kind and efficient and the job was done well.
I called ServiceMaster after a kitchen fire left substantial smoke damage in our home. They were fantastic through the entire recovery process. Every step was explained clearly, and they worked really well with the electronics and textile recovery companies.
Just one example of how they went beyond expectations: our fire happened in early December. The textile company forgot to grab the Christmas stockings when they cleaned out the house. Dan from ServiceMaster drove them to the textile company himself and made sure they were added to our rush order. I know they put in extra effort to get our young family home by Christmas. And they certainly didn't cut any corners - we have no lingering smoke smell and our home has never been cleaner! I hope to never need a disaster cleanup service again, but if we do I will definitely call ServiceMaster. Thank you ServiceMaster.
