Howard County Library System HCLS, Glenwood Branch

The Glenwood Branch Library is AMAZING! Not only is it a beautiful building with tons of natural lighting there is plenty of room to spread out to read & study. The staff is OUTSTANDING! Every single staff member always goes out of their way for me in answering my questions and/ or finding materials I am looking for. They are all so knowledgeable and make great suggestions including searching other libraries in Howard County and beyond to the other counties in MD. One time they even searched out of STATE and found exactly what I was looking for. The children’s librarians are super! They take so much time with me to get just the right books that will engage my grandson who is a “ reluctant reader.”nI am so fortunate that even during Covid we have access to this amazing staff and their resources. Contactless pickup is so easy & I truly appreciate this service. Nancy Barker

Curbside pickup and drop off only - easy & straight forward.

Spacious and quiet. Entering the library, we can feel some fragrance from books. I like the rear side room shining with lots of sun light.

Great staff always pleasant and helpful. Wonderful space, bright and inviting . Architecturally appealing interior. Able to find most listings first visit. Very helpful displays to explore additional options.nnThey do love relocating sections a little more than you might expect but not a real problem.nnGreat library and system

I'd have given them 5 stars up till a couple minutes ago. They have great selection of books, moives, etc., and plenty of loaner computers. The wifi signal has always been reliable.nnThey lost two stars for an avoidable noise level, though. It's fine in general that they have programs for pre-schoolers. But encouraging them to scream at the top of their lungs?! REALLY!? Not just once, either. And I'm sitting in the back, as far away as you could get.nnWhat in the world are they thinking?
