Lonely Hearts Animal rescue are not experts in dog behavior. Their policy is very strict they will NOT adopt any adult dog to someone with a cat. I have adopted dogs for the last 40 years and never had been refused due to a cat. Most rescue dogs are already anxious so meeting a cat is going to be tricky. They have to get into the home and adjust to the new surroundings and owners. Gentle greetings with the cat can begin then. This isn't my first dog. I ended up adopting from a rescue that actually understands this. Since you support this rescue, hence the negative review!

Super knowledgeable and friendly staff! It's abundantly clear that they love and actually care for the pups that they provide homes for. The shop also had everything we needed for our new puppy.

I really appreciated the help, promptness and friendly folks here as we met our rescue puppy, adoption and supplies from the store. Our puppy is a real joy and everything went very smoothly. Thank you.
