Wonderful! A truly enjoyable space to be in. One of few places you can receive without the expectation of payment.
The Johnson Library, a branch of Rapides Parish Library, is housed in the Old Lecompte High School. Tours are given of the old school. Numerous artifacts from the local area and the school are on display. Disappointing that you aren't allowed to use the stairs. Overall a good tour. I was especially pleased to go into Miss Stahl's Classroom.
The most friendly and helpful staff I have ever met.
