Asia Desk Travel

Just returned from my second trip with Asia Desk. Everything was taken care of from guides to excellent hotels to timely pick-ups from the airport. Everyone I dealt with was lovely and attentive and I couldn’t have felt more cared for. Sandy and his team were always responsive to questions and were very flexible. I would definitely strongly recommend Asia Desk for their incredible service and for planning two very memorable trips!

This review is long overdue. In December of 2019, I left a job and had a small break before starting my next gig. My husband and I decided we should take a last-minute trip. We have traveled extensively but had never traveled to SE Asia. I’m particular, so I’ve always planned our vacations to ensure I could control the experience. Unlike previous trips, I did not have months of time to plan or perfect my trip, and I knew that I needed to call in a pro. As a matter of fact, we only had three weeks from the date we started planning the trip, to the date we wanted to leave.nnI started researching online and found Sandy mentioned by Wendy Perrin, a widely respected travel writer. After doing my research and reading all of his reviews, we decided to hire him.nnSandy worked miracles to not only plan a great vacation in three weeks, he truly planned the trip of a lifetime. Sandy set us up with knowledgeable local guides in each location. He took care of every detail on the trip and constantly surprised us along the way. I travel for work, so I’ve been fortunate to stay in some of the nicest places in the world. Sandy gave us options at multiple prices and his hotel choices are now some of my absolute favorites.nnIf you have a chance to work with Sandy, he is the best in the business. He created memories that will forever change our lives. As I write this, most of us are not able to travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I can’t wait to travel again. We just returned from a wonderful trip that started in Hanoi and ended in Siem Reap via Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Can Tho and Saigon. We were a small group of 4 but had a guide and driver for most of the trip, We were shepherded from place to place and could customize as we wished. Most of what we did was spot on to our desires. Our only, albeit minor, complaint was the occasional stop at a commercial establishment where we could look at the wares and potentially buy things.nnThe guides were exemplary and were both knowledgeable and also very attentive to our needs. They were essentially on call 24 h/d.nnWe felt that this trip, although a bit expense, was amazingly cost effective given the quality of our accommodations (4-5 star) and the fact that many of our meals, and all our internal flights, were included.nnWe would use AsiaDesk again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Asia Desk arranged a remarkable trip for us from Chiang Rai, Thailand, through Laos. Sandy is always available and takes pride in flexibly handling whatever arises. The local hosts are outstanding--knowledgable, welcoming, friendly, well-connected locally and eager to provide a differentiated experience. I highly recommend Asia Desk.
