I was very very disappointed to find that there was no accommodation for women worshippers in the main prayer hall. Instead, women were relegated to a smaller, separate building next to the parking lot and seemed more like a storage facility. This is not at all in keeping with the Prophet(pbuh)'s Sunnah, which ironically was what today’s khutbah was about. Additionally, the khutbah was not one that anyone under age 40 would relate to. It's masjid administrations like this that are pushing Muslim youth (both male and female) away from the faith.

I am not Muslim, but wanted to share with my Muslim brothers and sisters that I care for your feelings in light or our recent administration's and Supreme Court decisions. This is discrimination pure and simple, and reflects a dark day in America. Muslim Americans are not second class citizens, and I will stand up against anyone who tries to deny your rights. The brothers here helped me and took care of me when I needed help. If I find a ride inshAllah I'll be back. (Finding a ride is difficult & no money 4 bus). Very family and friendly, and loving. Alhamdulilah! Asalaam peace.
