Bambara is at the top of my list of my four favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City. It never disappoints. I've frequently gotten the Elk, which is to die for, but this time I asked our server, Chrit (who is excellent) what the chef's favorite dish was. He said it was the Dry Aged Pork Chop, so of course, I got it. OH. MY. GOSH! That is quite possibly the most amazing thing I've ever eaten in my life! Kudos to Chef Powers and his culinary wizardry! I have never had a single thing off the Bambara menu that did not impress, but this was definitely another notch up on the gastronomic pleasure scale.
OH MY GOODNESS this place was delicious! I think the entire point of vacation is to eat at new , amazing places. So of course, I did my due diligence before deciding on where to go and searched for this little spot of goodness.
We have been to the Bambara prior to COVID-19 and had a amazing experience. However this time I'm only giving the 3 stars. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, but their menu was entirely TOO limited...as in only 5 items to choose from in the main course. The food this time was good, but not excellent like last time.
While staying at the Monaco we have already enjoyed 2 meals here. The grab and go breakfast was great. The seasonal pumpkin scone hit the spot as well. The summer tomatoes salad and burger were delicious and perfectly prepared. The hostess was very friendly.
At the first moment you enter this place team give you an excellent feeling. Very hospitable crew, it is a happy place to enjoy with buddies or with your date. enjoyable cuisine, creative chef, good cost and generous service. Highly recommended.
