Very nice trail. Well maintained. Very scenic and rewarding.

It's an old rail road tunnel built by the Swedes. Part of an old railroad bed, which is now a trail. Well worth the trip. Pull in where the sign says Scienic River Gorge; take the wooded road to the end and park. There are trail signs on your right. Vault toilets off to the left. It's a flat trail bordering the river. Leashed dogs are allowed , please pick up after. Everyone seems happy here! You can bicycle too. About 8 miles to end.

Swede Tunnel is at the near beginning of the Guest River Gorge Trail. We ook a short hike here after several days of heavy rain. The river was raging but trail was in great condition. The trail is mostly flat, wide and cinder paved; perfect for hiking or biking. The trail follows the river with high rock formations on either side so makes for interesting terrain. We we're there just before sunset and only saw 3 other people on the trail.

We walked the Guest River Gorge Trail which passes through the Swede Tunnel. This is beautiful trail and the tunnel is also beautiful.
