Great place used to come here all the time for the summer swim team, and I know he isn't there anymore but shoutout to coach Jared.

Came to this pool for 11 years but after yesterday’s experience my family and I won’t be returning they’ve turned the pool over to a bunch of obnoxious kid lifeguards that misinform customers about hours of operation and they have no respect for the adults that are there with their kids. At the end of last season we came after four on a Saturday which we would normally get half off at that time but the girl at the booth told us the half off was now only after 6pm and the pool closed at 8, my husband and I took the news in stride and went ahead and paid full price but only stayed for about an hour....this was the last trip to the pool last season for us. This season rolls around and we don’t start attending this pool until after the 4th of July usually so upon our first trip remembering what we were informed of last season we decided we would go after six on a Saturday only to be told they were closing and 6-8was for large parties...my husband and I looked at each other confused considering we had asked these questions about hours of operation last season, and just for the record we live in north Stafford so this pool isn’t right around the corner for us it’s a good 20 minute drive away so you can imagine our annoyance after having just driven with a baby and our two kids just to be told whomever we spoke to must have not explained the hours until 8 were only Monday-Friday and they did away with the half off on the weekends all together! My husband and I packed the Kids back into the car after having this conversation in the 98 degree heat and begrudgingly made our trek back home. The next weekend came and again the kiddos are looking for pool time, I also want to be clear that woodlands pool is literally right up the street from where we live and we could have been giving them our money for the last 11 years but we made the trek to Curtis park because up Until the last 3 seasons the pool atmosphere has always been nice and we found a little less crowded and the staff used to be kid and adult friendly, notice I said used to be, hence this review after yesterday’s events, my husband and I arrive at 5:10pm with the kiddos and yes we know now they close at six and it’s full price, not a problem for us we’re just looking to get a quick cool off and head back home. So upon arriving the girl in the booth informs us they’re about to close and adult swim starts in 10 minutes, now remember we arrived at 5:10 and remember we’ve been coming for the last eleven years on Saturdays and we know the drill with the last 15 minutes for adult swim so I check my watch and chalk it up to her trying to deter us from holding them up so we let her know we’re paying to go in considering they don’t close for another 40 minutes! We go in and enjoy our quick dip until the last 8 minutes to close. 1 of the young boy lifeguards is going around informing people they close at six....this is starting to seem a little redundant at this point...we get you teens and young adolescents want to go home on a Saturday. We adults know what time you close at this point when you’re telling people upon entry and over the intercom and now you’re walking around too...so he says this to me as I’m packing up our stuff and then says it to my husband who’s getting the kids and climbing out of the pool, my husband responded to him and said “I know” only to have the young boy not realizing we were together mock my husband to his co worker and laugh...so of course I said something to him about what I caught him doing. Not only was he disrespectful to me as his elder he made no apologies about his behavior but thought it appropriate to go into his lame little credentials as a lifeguard. After 11 years of patronage my family and I will not be returning to this pool considering how far down hill the staff have gone and the facility. They no longer use enough chlorine seeing as how over the last two seasons we’ve actually seen spit floating in the water amongst other things and clearly they refuse to pay for pest control given the bee and mosquito problem have become unbearable!

Great place to take the kids on a hot summer day. We also participate on the swim team located at Curtis Park. Great organization!
